John West

Mr. West founded and has served as the President of QEDesigns, Inc. since 1999. QEDesigns offers consulting services in the areas of: Cusom Data Collection and Analysis Tools, Test System Development, and R&D product development.

Mr. West has 10 years of experience as an Electrical R&D Engineer and over 14 years of experience as a Test Engineer. His design experience covers designing from concept through manufacturing. Mr. West has designed software and systems, being used in the Medical, Military, and Commercial industries.

Mr. West is competent in the areas of R&D product development and design control, including the creation of all related design input/output documentation and required analysis. This documentation and analysis includes the creation of Project Development Plans, Design Requirements Definition, Design for Testability, Design for Reliability Design for Manufacturing, Design Verification, and Design Validation.

Mr. West has over 15 years of experience in the design and development of custom hardware and software solutions that are used to automate the R&D analysis, validation, and manufacturing testing of complex devices. (Personal Desktop and Laptop Computers, Peripheral Devices, Telecom, Hemodialysis Machines, Disposable Dialyzers, Invasive and Noninvasive Blood Pressure Monitors, ECGs, Pulse Oximeter, Insulin Pumps, and Embedded Systems)

Mr. West has written several data collection and analysis tools which have been globally deployed for use in device testing, medical clinics, and device service centers.

Prior to founding QEDesigns or working as an R&D Engineer, Mr. West spent 4 years as a Test Engineer at Jabil Circuit, one of the world's leaders in contract manufacturing. As a Lead Test Engineer, Mr. West was responsible for the development of test solutions to ensure both product compliance and manufacturing quality. Mr. West provided customers with recommendations to ensure testability and manufacturability of complex SMT PCB designs and final Box-build assemblies. Mr. West served as the liaison between the customer and manufacturing, providing the test development quotes, input on resource allocation, test development scheduling, direction for contractors engaged in test development efforts, technical evaluation on new in-circuit (ICT) and functional (FVT) test technologies, production test capacity analysis, and production support of custom ICT/FVT equipment
